AMERICAN FORK — One of the top edge rushers on the Wasatch Front is headed to the Bay Area.
Lance Anderson has done it again.
American Fork edge Hunter Clegg announced his commitment to defensive coordinator Anderson and Stanford on social media Monday, becoming the top committed prospect from Utah in the Class of 2023.
Clegg is the No. 3 overall recruit in the state, per 247Sports, and second-rated edge rusher behind top overall recruit Tausili Akana, a four-star edge rusher from Skyridge. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound edge rusher committed to the Cardinal over offers from BYU, Utah, Baylor and USC, among others.
Committed! Thank you to all of the coaches that recruited me. It was a tough decision, but Stanford is home! @StanfordFball@CoachDavidShaw@CoachL_Anderson@AlphaRecruits15@alpha_lbu@cavemanfootballpic.twitter.com/mw7pBE8vtz

A consensus four-star recruit and No. 17 edge rusher nationally by 247Sports, Clegg posted 29 tackles, nine tackles for loss and five sacks last season for the Cavemen en route to a 7-4 overall record.
The rising senior is expected to be another key contributor on American Fork, and projects to be one of the top players in the state this year alongside Akana, Timpview four-star offensive tackle Spencer Fano, and Skyridge four-star cornerback Smith Snowden.
