LONETREE, Wyoming — A camp host near the Utah-Wyoming border has been arrested and accused of touching a woman inappropriately.
Terence Louie Simpson, 61, was booked into the Summit County Jail on Thursday for investigation of forcible sexual abuse.
Police say the incident happened over the Fourth of July weekend at the Stateline Campground on the Utah side of the Uinta National Forest.
Simpson, the camp host, was apparently arguing with a woman about keeping her dogs on a leash. When the woman picked up her dogs, "Terry reached over, unprovoked and without consent, and grabbed (her) breast," according to a police booking affidavit.
Police say two witnesses backed up the woman's version of events. On Thursday, a deputy drove to the campground to interview Simpson. He admitted to touching the woman while trying to touch her dogs, according to the affidavit. Simpson was then arrested and taken to jail.
"In the car, during the transport, he said he couldn't believe that (the woman) reported this incident and thought she would just call his boss about him sexually harassing her," the affidavit states.
Simpson is currently on parole out of Wyoming, according to deputies. The Summit County Sheriff's Office contacted his parole agent, who said this arrest would constitute a violation of his parole.
