HEBER — A brush fire off U.S. Highway 40 north of Heber burned an estimated 85 acres on Sunday, according to fire officials.
The Flat Line Fire started in the afternoon about 1.5 miles off the road on "steep, inaccessible terrain" with grass and oak, according to a tweet. Utah Wildfire tweeted that a heavy air tanker was on scene to assist with ground resources and that the road would be closed while the tanker dropped fire retardant.
Mike Eriksson, area manager for the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands, said the fire is human-caused, but they don't know exactly how it was started.

Fire officials urged drivers to use caution in the area due to smoke on the road. No structures were being threatened, according to the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office.
