SALT LAKE CITY — A man who police say made remarks against another man before stabbing him multiple times was arrested Thursday night.

Larry Ramon Soto-Johnson, 27, who is homeless, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury.

On Thursday, about 9:40 p.m., Soto-Johnson and a 60-year-old man "were sitting inside of a trailer located at 700 West (and) 200 South talking," according to a police booking affidavit, when Soto-Johnson made some allegations about the victim.

"The victim stood up to leave and Larry pushed the victim down and stabbed the victim multiple times, to the neck, left arm and left side of the victim's back," the affidavit states.

The man was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police. Officers located Soto-Johnson in the area a short time later and ran after him. When Soto-Johnson did not comply with officers' commands, a Taser was used to take him into custody, according to police.
