GREEN RIVER, Emery County — A man died Wednesday after the semitruck he was driving crashed in Emery County.

The man was eastbound on I-70, leaving Spotted Wolf Canyon, when the truck left the road and crashed into the canyon wall around 12:40 p.m., according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

First responders found the man "pinned under the rear dual wheels" of the truck, leading them to believe the man tried to jump out of the truck before it crashed, the release said.

The identity of the man has not been released.
