SMITHFIELD — A 77-year-old Cache County man is dead after a snowmobile accident on Naomi Peak on Friday afternoon.

The man was riding snowmobiles with his family in the area when he rolled his snowmobile on a steep section of the mountain, Utah State Parks Lt. Eric Stucki said.

Stucki said the man was airlifted to Logan Regional Hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Officials have not released the man's name.
