BLANDING — A 12-year-old girl was hit by a car Thursday night in Blanding and now police are asking for help finding the car that may have hit her.
The car was driving on Blue Mountain Road outside Blanding when it hit the girl at around 8 p.m., according to a Facebook post from the San Juan County Sheriff's Office. The girl was flown to Primary Children's Hospital because of her injuries.
The car continued south into Blanding without stopping, police said.
An investigation is ongoing as both San Juan County and Blanding officers look for details on who might have been involved in the incident.
Police are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the driver who may have hit the girl, but they did not release a description of the vehicle believed to be involved.
Anyone with information is asked to call Blanding police at 435-587-2237.
