PROVO — Stadium of Fire announced its return on Thursday following last year's festivities being postponed for the first time ever due to COVID-19 concerns.
The annual Independence Day celebration will mark its 40th anniversary with performances by Grammy-winning country singer Lee Greenwood and county singer Collin Raye at LaVell Edwards Stadium on July 3.
A news release from the organization says the event will also feature "signature gravity-defying motorcycle stunts" from Nitro Circus, skydivers, a flyover by F-35 jets from Hill Air Force Base, and the USA's largest stadium fireworks show to cap off the evening featuring the Millennial Choir.
The event will also feature a salute to Utah's first responders of the pandemic and patriotic tributes, the release says. Additionally, the event will be televised to military men and women in more than 100 countries through American Forces Network.
Organizers say tickets will be available at stadiumoffire.com beginning May 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Freedom Festival email subscribers. The general public can purchase tickets starting at 1 p.m.
