LEHI — A 37-year-old man died after he jumped from the truck he was driving when it began to lose control at the Staker Parson site located at 11700 N. Thanksgiving Way on Thursday, Lehi police said.
According to Sgt. Robert Marshall with Lehi police, at about 2:30 p.m., Jesus Ponce was driving a truck, contracted by another company, that was loaded with crushed concrete. Ponce was driving up an incline as he entered the yard and the truck began to lose control, Marshall said.
Marshall said that Ponce appeared to jump as the truck lost control, which may be the cause of death. The truck Ponce was driving was removed from the yard for further inspection, according to police.
The incident is under investigation.
