SALT LAKE CITY — Police have located a suspect wanted in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in Salt Lake City on Saturday morning.

Salt Lake City Police tweeted Saturday night that the suspect, Nathaniel Joseph Kenyon, 42, "should be considered armed and dangerous, do not approach." Kenyon was described as being a 5-foot-10 white man, with brown hair and brown eyes, who weighs 185 pounds.

Police were notified of the suspect's location at 2:07 p.m., according to Steve Wooldridge of Salt Lake City Police. Police have not released the identity of the man who was found dead.

Officials thanked the public for its assistance in a tweet on Sunday while announcing that Kenyon was in custody.

A passerby had spotted the body of the deceased man near 338 W. Hansen Avenue about 7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning and called police, according to Salt Lake Police Lt. Bill Manzanares. The man apparently died of a gunshot wound, but investigators found no shell casings at the scene.

Police did not receive any reports of shots fired in the area, he added.

Anyone with information about Kenyon or the man's death is asked to call 801-799-3000 and reference case number 21-72891.
