According to Sunset Police Sgt. Brett Jamison, at about 7:30 p.m. a mother and daughter were hit by what a pickup truck.
"A vehicle that was westbound hit both pedestrians and then fled the scene," Jamison said. "From what we can tell it was a Nissan pickup truck."
Jamison said there were no witnesses and dispatch received the call after people noticed the mother and daughter still in the road.
The 45-year-old woman had a significant laceration on her right thigh, according to police. Both the mother and daughter had road rash and were taken to Ogden Regional Hospital.
