SALT LAKE CITY — Move over, Peppermint Chip. There's a new milkshake in the Chick-fil-A universe, and Utahns will be the first in the country to get a taste.

The beloved restaurant chain debuted its latest seasonal milkshake creation this week: the Butterscotch Crumble. And you can only get it in "the city known for its love of Chick-fil-A Milkshakes," according to a company press release.

"We are excited to test another seasonal Milkshake and hope Salt Lake City customers enjoy this delicious blend of butterscotch-flavored syrup, Icedream dessert, and blondie crumbles," said Beth Hefner, with the Chick-fil-A Menu Development Team.

Chick-fil-A chose Salt Lake City as a launch site for the Butterscotch Crumble thanks to Utah's proven devotion to the chain's dessert menu. According to the Chick-fil-A website, Salt Lake City customers ordered a whopping 1.5 million milkshakes in 2020, securing them the title of top milkshake drinkers in the U.S.

"Since locals in Utah's capital seem to love both signature and seasonal Milkshake flavors, we know they will take their taste-testing role very seriously," the Chick-fil-A website reads.

The company urges customers in the Salt Lake area to go to their nearest Chick-fil-A restaurant and give the milkshake a try, then report to the company whether they liked it.

The Butterscotch Crumble Milkshake starts at $3.45 and comes in both small and large sizes.
