MURRAY — A woman died when she was hit by a car in Murray early Tuesday morning, police said.
The car was westbound on 4500 South about 5:40 a.m. when it hit the woman near 500 West, Murray Police Sgt. Jason Coons said.
Investigators didn't know if the woman was in a crosswalk when she was hit. The car's driver is cooperating with police.
Westbound traffic in the area was blocked after the incident but has now cleared, the KSL Traffic Center reported.
The woman was in her 60s, Coon said. Her name has not yet been released.
