MURRAY — A man accused of killing two women in California, one of them from Utah, and then livestreaming video of their bodies also had a warrant out for his arrest in Utah at the time of the crime.
Raymond Michael Weber, 29, is accused of killing two women, ages 26 and 15, in Vacaville, California, outside of Sacramento, sometime between the night of Jan. 29 and early morning of Jan. 30. Police were notified after Weber allegedly livestreamed himself on social media pointing a gun at two bodies that were motionless on the floor.
One of the victims was identified by the family as Savannah Rae Theberge. Theberge is from West Jordan, according to court records. Her mother, who lives in Georgia, told CBS13 in Sacramento that she watched the livestream video as it happened and recognized one of the victims as her daughter by her tattoos.
She told the TV station that Theberge and Weber had recently become engaged and were going to visit California.
Weber is charged in California with two counts of first-degree murder. Media reports in California say he is from Sacramento.
In Utah, Weber is also facing criminal charges, though officials say there is confusion over his correct birthdate. But Murray police confirmed that Weber is the same man who is a suspect in one of their cases.
On July 18, a man went to visit Theberge at a Murray apartment near 5310 S. 900 East. No one answered the door, so the man called out to Theberge to see if she was inside.
That's when the man heard a voice — later determined to be Weber — threatening to kill him, according to charging documents.
Weber ran out of the apartment yelling, "I'm going to kill you," and pointed a gun at the man's head, the charges state. He then allegedly hit the man in the head twice with the gun and went back into the apartment.

A Utah woman was identified as one of the victims of a double homicide that occurred on Jan. 30 at a military apartment complex in Vacaville, California, with the other victim being just 15 years old.Theberge and Weber drove off before police arrived. When officers later caught up with her, Theberge claimed some man she had met at a bar a few hours before had committed the assault, the charges say.
On Aug. 4, Weber was arrested in Fresno for investigation of illegal possession of a firearm, according to court documents in Utah. Theberge was with him at the time and told the arresting officer that she was driving Weber from Utah to Sacramento.
Two days later, Theberge's family contacted Murray police and told them that Weber was her boyfriend, according to court documents. Police did a photo lineup with the man assaulted in July and say he positively identified Weber as the man who attacked him.
Weber was charged in September in 3rd District Court with possession of a firearm by a restricted person, a second-degree felony, and aggravated assault, a third-degree felony. He was restricted from possessing a gun due to a drugs and firearms conviction in Sacramento in 2015, court records state. A warrant for his arrest in Utah was still outstanding at the time of the killings in California.
