SALT LAKE CITY — Here are the latest updates on the fallout from Wednesday when a mob breached the U.S. Capitol in a last-ditch effort to derail the counting of Electoral College votes for President-elect Joe Biden.

Supporters of President Donald Trump protested outside the Capitol and eventually made their way inside the building on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a lockdown of the building. The ensuing violence left five people dead, including a police officer.

This story will be updated with the latest information as the situation develops.

Correction:A previous version of the headline said President Donald Trump was going to be impeached Monday. The headline was updated to show that House Democrats are going to introduce articles of impeachment Monday.
