MURRAY — Police are investigating after someone rammed a stolen car into a pawn shop in Murray as part of an attempted burglary, officials said.
Police arrived at EZ Pawn, 80 E. 4500 South, after a burglar alarm went off about 3:40 a.m., according to Murray Police Sgt. Jason Coons. He said they found damage to the building and vehicle parts at the scene.
Surveillance video showed a car rammed the building, someone then went inside the store and left a short time later. Police aren't sure if that person took anything from the store.
Investigators found the car nearby and tracked down the owner, who told them they did not know their car had been taken.
No suspects have been identified.
No injuries were reported and no damage estimate was initially given.
