SYRACUSE— Bluff Ridge Elementary in Syracuse and West Point Elementary will be transitioning to online learning amid a rise in COVID-19 cases, school officials said Wednesday.
According to the Davis School District dashboard, Bluff Ridge currently has 20 positive cases over the 14-day rolling period. West Point had 17 positive cases over the 14-day rolling period with 37 people currently in quarantine.
Both elementary schools will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 3, to allow teachers to prepare for the transition. Remote learning will begin on Monday, Dec. 7, with students returning to in-person learning on Dec. 17.
Davis School District has two other schools currently in remote learning, Clearfield High School and Farmington Junior High School. Clearfield and Farmington are expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 7, according to the district.
