TOOELE, Utah (AP) -- After spending two days in the hospital, the man arrested in the stabbing death of his girlfriend is now behind bars.
Authorities say 47-year-old John Dean Bevan was booked into the Tooele County jail on Friday in the death of 42-year-old Tina Rene Evans.
Police say the woman was stabbed to the death on Wednesday inside the couple's home in Stansbury Park. Officers say the woman's husband then apparently cut himself with a knife.
Authorities say the man was then taken to University Hospital, where he spent two days guarded.
Prosecutors say they plan on filing several charges against Bevan, including first-degree murder.
