Class 6A
The Minerettes are back on top.
After finishing second to perennial power Copper Hills in each of the past seven seasons, Bingham clinched its first state title since 2012 with a solid all-around performance Friday afternoon at the UCCU Center.
No strangers to the title, the eight-time champion Minerettes took the military and dance titles to hold off Herriman, Layton, Copper Hills and Davis for the most recent championship.
Bingham and Copper Hills have combined for the last nine state titles in Utah’s largest classification.

Class 5A
For the first time in the school’s brief history, Farmington ended the season on top of the state drill competition.
The Nixelles piled up wins in military and dance to clinch the Class 5A state championship Saturday evening at the UCCU Center, snapping perennial powerhouse Bountiful’s run of three straight championships.
The Mandonelles had won eight of the previous nine titles, and 21 overall. Farmington is one title closer to that number after also finishing ahead of Viewmont, Spanish Fork and Maple Mountain in the Top 5.
