SOUTH JORDAN — Police have identified a man who died in a Thanksgiving Day shooting in South Jordan.
Efrain Castro, 23, died following the shooting, South Jordan police confirmed Thursday. Police were notified Wednesday evening that he died.
The shooting took place about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 28 during a house party near 4658 W. South Jordan Parkway, police said.
One person was shot eight times, while two others were shot once each. They were taken to hospitals with various injuries. Police did not say Thursday how many times Castro was shot.
Several days after the shooting, authorities discovered a body near a South Jordan construction site. Police identified the body as the man who opened fire at the party.
Joshua Perez-Garcia, 26, was found about 7:50 a.m. Dec. 2 near 11200 S. 6100 West, police said.
Further information about the shooting investigation was not immediately available Thursday.
