SOUTH JORDAN — Police from across the Salt Lake Valley are looking for a man who opened fire at a house party early Thursday morning.
South Jordan Lt. Matt Pennington said they got a call on the shooting at around 2:30 a.m. at 4658 W. South Jordan Parkway. Three people were taken to the hospital with various injuries. Pennington said one of the victims was shot eight times and the others were hit once.
"There was some type of house party going on here and somebody obviously got in some type of disagreement and ended up shooting," Pennington said.
Neighboring agencies are helping in the search for a male suspect who they believe they have identified. Pennington said there is no immediate threat to the public, but they think the man who opened fire might have already left the neighborhood in a vehicle.
