Firefighters respond to Salt Lake house fire on Halloween

SALT LAKE CITY — Firefighters responded to — and quickly brought under control — a house fire in Salt Lake City on Halloween night.

As Salt Lake City firefighters took care of the fire at 1810 S. 400 East, trick-or-treaters passed by on the sidewalks, waving and stopping to talk to some first responders.

Calls of smoke coming from the single-family house’s attic came in just after 5 p.m., the fire department said. By 5:13 p.m., the fire was under control.

Nobody was injured, and nobody was inside the home at the time, the department said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
