Sandy man killed in West Valley rollover

WEST VALLEY CITY — A Sandy man died Sunday after a rollover crash in West Valley City.

Police identified the man as Richard Alan Learned, 76.

The crash was reported about 4:30 p.m. at 3696 S. Redwood Road. Learned's SUV was hit by a passenger car and rolled, and the man was partially ejected, West Valley police said.

The driver of the passenger car suffered minor injuries. No one else was in the vehicles, according to police.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Redwood Road was closed in both directions from 3800 South to 3500 South on Sunday afternoon while the accident was investigated.
