LAYTON — A man was killed Thursday evening in a shooting in Layton, police said.

About 6:45 p.m., a man called 911 and reported he'd shot somebody at his home near 300 West Park St., Layton police said. When officers arrived, they found a man, 35, with at least two gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Layton Police Lt. Alex Davis said as of Thursday night, police do not believe the shooting was accidental.

Police did not immediately know the relationship between the two men, Davis said.

The alleged shooter is cooperating with investigators, according to police.
