Amazon launched free, same-day and one-day delivery service for Prime customers in Salt Lake City Wednesday.

Did you just remember your spouse’s birthday is TODAY and you completely forgot to get the one thing they’ve been asking for all year long? No problem, jump on Amazon and it’ll arrive at your doorstep in time for the cake and candles.

Is it Christmas Eve and you (like me, every single year) have still not gotten gifts for your ever-expanding family? Don’t worry, they’ll be there in time to wrap up that night.

If you place an order over $35 before noon (typically), you’ll receive your package by 9 p.m. the same day — seven days a week, even Sunday. If you place your order in the afternoon, your package will arrive the next day.

There are three million items that are eligible for same-day and one-day shipping. Look for the logos that indicate if your item is eligible or use the filter in search, then choose the same-day or one-day option at checkout.

The first same-day deliveries in Salt Lake were the Echo Dot, a 23andMe DNA Test and an Xbox Wireless controller.

You can check your zip code at Amazon.com/sameday to see if same-day delivery is available in your area.

Same-day and one-day delivery is now available across 8,000 cities and towns across the U.S. So Provo, maybe you’re next?
