SALT LAKE CITY — A second man has been charged in connection with an incident earlier this month in which police say two men fired more than two dozen times at a vehicle, striking the passenger.

Adrian Emanuel McCleary, 20, of West Valley City, was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court with eight counts of discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony, and discharge of a firearm with injury, a second-degree felony.

On Nov. 7, police say McCleary and Dustin Domoneke Larosa, 20, pulled up to a car parked in front of a home to try and block it from leaving. Both men got out of the car and opened fire on the two people inside the other vehicle, according to charging documents.

A 17-year-old girl put her vehicle in reverse and then drove past Larosa and McCleary as they continued shooting, the charges state. Police later collected 27 shell casings in the road and discovered nine bullet holes in the girl's car.

A man who was a passenger in the car "was struck by one of the bullets and required emergency medical treatment" according to the charges.

Larosa, 20, was charged Tuesday with nine counts of discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony.

Bail for both men is set at $250,000.
