SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake man was charged Monday with shooting at a vehicle more than two dozen times, striking the passenger.
Dustin Domoneke Larosa, 20, is charged in 3rd District Court with nine counts of discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony.
On Nov. 7, Larosa pulled up to a car parked in front of a home to block it, got out of his vehicle along with a second person, and opened fire on the two people inside the other car, according to charging documents.
A 17-year-old girl put her vehicle in reverse and then drove past Larosa as he continued shooting, the charges state. Police later collected 27 shell casings in the road and discovered nine bullet holes in the girl's car, the charges state.
The passenger in the car, a man, "was struck by one of the bullets and required emergency medical treatment" according to the charges.
Larosa also currently faces two counts of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, for an incident in May. In that case, Larosa is accused of brandishing a gun at his girlfriend's father and another woman.
Bail is set at $250,000.
