WEST POINT — A 30-year-old man was found dead early Sunday morning in West Point, according to Davis County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jennifer Daley.

Daley said the man had been shot, and police were investigating the death as a possible homicide.

The shooting took place at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday near 438 North 3275 West, Daley said.

A 29-year-old man was in custody in connection with the investigation, which is ongoing, Daley said. She did not identify the victim or the man who was in custody.
