SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz have partnered with the charitable organization 5 For The Fight this season, and on Saturday fans were invited to participate in a night dedicated to helping further cancer research.

Prior to the start of the fourth quarter, all in attendance at Vivint Arena were invited to write on their hand someone they know who has been impacted by cancer. In unison, those in attendance shouted the name of the person on their hand. You can watch video of it below.

The 5 For The Fight organization funds cancer research and asks individuals to donate $5 at a time by texting Jazz to 50555.

As part of the 5 For The Fight night, Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio announced that he would be donating money for every assist he’d make this season. At the conclusion of the Jazz-Oklahoma City game, Rubio has 25 assists.

> For every assist I have this season, I’m raising money to fight cancer. Will you join me?
