BMC rider uses late push for Stage 2 victory in Tour of Utah

SNOWBASIN — Brent Bookwalter of BMC Racing took the lead in the final 50 meters Tuesday, and held on to for a 3:38:12 win in Tuesday’s Stage 2 of the Tour of Utah from Brigham City to Snowbasin.

Sepp Kuss of Rally Cycling, the tour’s overall leader after two stages, was second (3:38.12) followed by Elevate-KHS Pro’s James Piccoli (3:38.12).

Stage 3 is an individual time trial, a 5.6-mile stretch beginning at 7,300 feet in elevation from the Donut Falls Trailhead at Reynolds Gulch to Brighton Ski Resort.

5. Kyle Murphy (Cylance Cycling) — 3:38:15
