MOUNT PLEASANT — Mount Pleasant police arrested a man in connection with the death of 34-year-old Kammy Edmunds.
Edmunds died from head trauma injuries, according to police.
Anthony Christensen, 35, was taken into custody Saturday after police located a car connected to the case, police said.
Detectives said they found the car east of town with the help of Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office. They said it had been driven off an embankment into a dry creek bed near Power Plant Park. Investigators processed the scene at the park and later took the car to their indoor facility for further inspection.
Police told KSL they believe it was a case of domestic violence. Christensen was Edmunds’ fiancé.
On Friday afternoon Mount Pleasant officers responded to a residence around 12:45 p.m., police said in a statement.
Charges against Christensen are pending.
