SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Members of Utah's 328th Combat Support Hospital are shipping out to Iraq.
The 85-member detachment will serve two roles: providing health care for soldiers and Iraqi detainees and reinforcing the military presence around Baghdad.
A farewell ceremony was held Monday at Fort Douglas. The reservists leave Wednesday. They'll stop in Fort Lewis, Wash., before heading to Iraq for a year.
Many are deploying to Iraq for the second time.
The unit is also gathering donations to pay for Internet access during their deployment. A satellite-based connection costs around $60,000 a year.
