SALT LAKE CITY — As we count down the days until Christmas, we also continue to countdown Utah’s favorite Christmas songs.
Last week, we asked you to narrow the field from 16 to 8. There were some tough choices in the previous round, and it won’t get easier from here on out.
Some of the songs eliminated last round were Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime,” Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas,” and Burt Ives’ “A Holly Jolly Christmas.”
In this poll, you will narrow down the field to the final four.
And the nominees are, in no particular order:
Brenda Lee — “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”
Bing Crosby and David Bowie — “Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy”
Nat King Cole — “The Christmas Song”
Johnny Mathis — “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas”
Bing Crosby — “White Christmas”
Gene Autry — “Here Comes Santa Claus”
Frank Sinatra — “Have Yourself A Merry Christmas”
Josh Groban — “O Holy Night”
Remember, this is completely subjective and fun. We think all of these songs are great. How you come to decide upon the better of the two songs paired against another is entirely up to you. You be the judge.
If you want others to vote, share the poll and help your favorite Christmas song win.
Enjoy and remember to look for the final round of voting next week.
