SOUTH OGDEN — Police have identified the victims of a shooting in Ogden Friday night.

Cyle VanKomen, 24, and Kevin Nelson, 61, were both killed at 3636 Ogden Ave. in what police are calling a double homicide.

South Ogden Police Sgt. Wil DeHart said VanKomen resided at the location of the incident and Nelson resided at a neighboring home.

The name of a 20-year-old Hispanic male who was shot during the incident and hospitalized is being withheld for investigative reasons, police said. The injured male is still in the ICU, according to DeHart.

"The last I heard, I spoke with his father this morning around 9, and he was struggling," DeHart said.

DeHart said the apparent motive for the crime appears to be a home invasion robbery.

Police said detectives are following up on "solid leads" in the ongoing investigation.
