EUREKA, Juab County — Police are seeking the public's help locating a Millard County woman who hasn't been seen since Saturday.
Stacy Jo Morrill, 52, left her home in Oasis, Millard County, on Saturday evening. Her Jeep Grand Cherokee was spotted later that day in Utah County, sitting abandoned with its doors open along Dividend Road near U.S. 6, a few miles east of Eureka, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office.
The same passerby saw Morrill's vehicle again Sunday evening, still with its doors open, and called police, Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon said. Police were able to connect the Jeep to Morrill, whose husband told investigators she left home between 6 and 8 p.m. Saturday with up to $3,000 in cash but no credit cards or cellphone.
"Some items believed to (belong) to Stacy Morrill were found in and near her vehicle … but there are no indications that she was injured or that foul play is involved," Cannon said in a statement.
Sheriff's office and Utah Department of Public Safety searchers looked for Morrill near her vehicle beginning Sunday night and continuing Monday, using multiple aircraft and crews on horseback.
Morrill has knee problems and "may be experiencing emotional stress or … undiagnosed mental health issues," Cannon said.
Morrill is 6 feet tall, weighs about 200 pounds and has blond hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police at 801-794-3970.
