DRAPER — Ikkyu Fuji scored the game-winning goal with two minutes left in overtime Friday to lift Wasatch Academy to its first 2A championship game in school history with a 3-2 win over Providence Hall at Juan Diego High School.

Gabby Cheng gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead in the second half, but Providence’s Jordan Zacharias equalized to send the match into overtime.

Eli Fischberg-Robinson also scored for Wasatch Academy, which advanced to face Waterford in Saturday’s state final at 1:30 p.m. MT at Alta High.

Luke Reno had a goal for the Patriots.

WATERFORD 7, MANTI 4 — At Juan Diego, the Ravens jumped out to a 5-2 halftime lead and rolled past the Templars for a berth in the 2A final.

CLASS 3A

JUAN DIEGO 1, DIXIE 0 (2OT) — At Alta, Michael DiGeronimo scored the lone goal of the match in the second extra period to lift the undefeated Soaring Eagle into the championship match.

Ruben Castillo notched an assist for Juan Diego (17-0), and Martin Kelly was in goal to earn the shutout.

SNOW CANYON 1, LOGAN 0 — At Alta, Axel Vichi’s cross in the 38th minute glanced off the head of teammate Max Kemp to send the Warriors to the 3A state final.
