Traces of human hormones and medications have shown up in popular fishing areas. Even if the amounts are minuscule, some fishermen aren't too happy.

There are studies on fish being conducted near two water treatment facilities near Silver Creek and East Canyon Creek in Summit County. In the water, there have been traces of Prozac, ibuprofen, and birth control hormones found.

Researchers say the traces are so small they would not affect humans even if someone ate the fish. But fishermen still say they shouldn't be there at all.

"Trace amounts of gold are expensive. So, you know, trace amounts of what to who's opinion?" one man said.

The studies are to see if the trace chemicals could be affecting the reproduction of the fish. So far in these streams, they have not reported any problems.
