(KSL News) A fire caused some serious damage to a home in Sandy this afternoon.
Fire crews say it appears the fire started on the outside and spread inside.
A few neighbors tried to fight it with a hose and buckets. Some of those people suffered smoke inhalation.
The home was being rented and no one was at home at the time. Crews managed to rescue a dog inside.
The cause is under investigation.
Damage is estimated at about 10-thousand dollars.
