SALT LAKE CITY — The Deseret News/KSL editorial board met with Ohio Gov. John Kasich today in person and by phone with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
The questions focused on the economy, religious liberty, the Supreme Court, immigration, foreign policy, federalism and federal lands.
It should be noted that when Sen. Cruz makes reference to Kasich’s inability to win a brokered convention because of Rule 40B (created in 2012), which requires any nominees to have won a majority of eight delegations to be nominated, it is possible the Rules Committee could change the rules at convention.
