If you own a customized vehicle — from sports cars to semi trucks — email crosenlof@ksl.com with a photo of the vehicle and a brief description for consideration.OGDEN, Utah — Wade Schofield's 1970 Chevrolet C-10 pickup is a street-mod workhorse that helps Schofield in his custom shop, Bare Bones Customs, by towing cars and fetching parts.
The paint is less than a year old, done patina-style. Brian Thomas, the shop's airbrush artist, created the wood look on the dash.
Schofield tapped into the stock AM radio, so he can run a phone or mp3 player through it. Under the hood there's a 402 V-8 with an 80s-vintage supercharger. The carburetor is an Edelbrock 650. Long-tube headers give way to a full exhaust system.

The custom airbag kit has a coolness factor. Although others have had problems with airbags, Schofield said he orders his custom-made from a California supplier, who has been in business a long time and knows what fittings and couplings give out. Schofield's airbags have plenty of clearance, so they don't rub other parts and start to leak.
The truck is a showcase for Bare Bones Customs, at 255 29th Street in Ogden, which focuses on affordable custom work.
