The Fourth of July is a lot of fun for most of us. But for firefighters, it's one crazy night.

For a group of Provo firefighters, the Fourth is one of the busiest nights of year. "We work for 48 hours strait with very little sleep and rest, especially on the Fourth of July because of all the activities going on in the city," one firefighter said.

They say their work load more than doubles. Often, it's from one call right to the next. So, there's not much celebrating that goes on.

"My family's gonna do it without me," a firefighter told us.

There's also the delayed approach. "We go and celebrate the Fourth of July with my wife and our grandkids another day when I'm off work," another firefighter said.

That firefighter says he's already been called to two small fires caused by fireworks.
