(KSL News/AP) New numbers are out today on Utah's high school graduates.

The State Office of Education report shows 88 percent of Utah's class of 2007 graduated from high school. Eleven high schools had 100 percent graduation for the year.

Officials say the statewide graduation rate is pretty good when compared to national numbers.

But the high school graduation rate among Utah's Latino population is lagging behind the rest of the state. State officials say only 72 percent of Latino seniors graduated in 2007. In some places, fewer than half of Latinos graduated.

State Associate Superintendent Judy Park says more focus is needed to improve graduation rates among the state's minorities.

Latinos, Utah's largest minority group, made up about 13 percent of Utah's student population last year.
