SALT LAKE CITY — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be in Utah next month for a private fundraiser.
Park City residents Barry and Amy Baker will host the $500 to $2,700 per-person event at their home on Aug. 5. No public appearances are scheduled.
"It's a treat to have them here," said Utah Democratic Party Chairman Peter Corroon. "I think it shows that Utah is on the national political map."
The Bakers have held fundraisers for Bill and Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates in the past.
In 2007, Bill Clinton raised $350,000 in Utah — most of it at private fundraiser in the Bakers' home — for his wife's presidential campaign. Hillary Clinton campaigned in the state for then Sen. Barack Obama after he won the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.

Several Republican presidential hopefuls were in Utah last month at a summit Mitt Romney held at the posh Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, former Silicon Valley executive Carly Fiorina, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie attended the retreat, which also attracted some of the GOP's biggest donors.
