LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a 20-year-old moped rider killed in a crash in a northwest Las Vegas road construction zone as Evan Michael Thompson.

Police say Thompson skidded, fell and slid into a 2009 Nissan Maxima making a left turn about 9:30 p.m. Monday at Grand Teton Drive and Cimarron Road.

He was pronounced dead at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

The Clark County coroner ruled the death an accident.

Police say a 35-year-old woman who was driving the Nissan was questioned by crash investigators and was not believed to be at fault.
