(KSL News) The totals are in from last weekend's "Stamp out Hunger" food drive, and it's a lot of food!
Three hundred sixty-nine thousand pounds of food were collected by letter carriers in the state of Utah. That's a 40-percent increase from last years drive.
For 16 years, your mail men and women have voluntarily picked up food items left at mailboxes for the food drive. The food bank is pleased to have all the food.
Officials at the food bank say the request for food has doubled since this time last year, largely due to high food and gas prices.
