SALT LAKE CITY — Long before Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes began his political career, he practiced a very different hobby: rapping.
In a recent interview with "All Due Respect" host Mark Halperin, Reyes spontaneously demonstrated his affinity for rhyme by throwing down some original lyrics.
“We’re the partners of rhyme, the legion of doom, when we’re on stage, sucker emcees make room for us ‘cause they know that we’re the best, I’m the pineapple crust, she’s emcee kid fresh."
As it turns out, Reyes is a man of many talents. Following his rap, he proceeded to perform an ancient Maori war dance and sing “Love Me Tender” by Elvis Presley.
Reyes became Utah’s Attorney General in 2013 after John Swallow resigned from office. On Jan. 5, Reyes took an oath for the position a second time.
Last October, Reyes took a secret trip to Columbia as part of an operation to rescue child sex slaves.
