SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Zions Bank while wearing a red mask Thursday morning.

A black adult male entered the Zions Bank at 910 W. 2100 South at 10:40 a.m., according to Salt Lake City Police. The man was wearing a plastic red mask over a multi-colored beanie. He threatened the bank employees with a weapon and demanded money.

After the man received an undisclosed amount of money, he left the bank and was seen heading northbound on foot. Officials believe that local businesses or patrons in the area may have seen him.

The robber is described as a thin, 6-foot-tall black male. Along with wearing the mask and beanie, he was also wearing a light blue or white shirt, dress pants and dress shoes.

The Salt Lake City Police department is asking for anyone with information to call 801-770-3000 or to text TIPSLCPD with information to CRIMES 274637.
