(KSL News) An alert resident at the Santa Fe Apartments in Cottonwood Heights alerted sheriff's deputies that two people were up to no good this afternoon.
The witness saw two people trying to break into a car parked at the apartments.
Deputies were in the area within seconds and tried to pull the suspects over as they left the apartment complex. The suspects raced away, but they went down a dead-end street.
Eleven deputies swarmed the general vicinity, setting up a containment area. The two suspects were caught.
Deputies say the car they were in may have been stolen.
