PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- A 36-year-old skier died at The Canyons, authorities said, when he hit a tree.

The body of the Summit County man, whose name was not released, was found Monday afternoon after a two-hour search, resort spokesman Todd Burnette said.

Authorities believe the man, who was wearing a helmet, struck a tree and died from a broken neck near the Lower Crowning Glory run, Burnette said.

The death is being classified as an accident, said Capt. Alan Siddoway of the Summit County sheriff's office.
