Blast the music and add on an extra 35 pounds to each side of the bar and you're all set, right? Not exactly.
A new survey by the Pew Research Center shows 25% of us are dieting with unrealistic goals. In fact, the average goal is to lose about 30 pounds.
"People want to get ready for summer so it's really common for people to set fairly ambitious goals."
Registered Dietitian Rachel Jones says you need to set short-term realistic goals to get the results you want.
"The thing that you need to remember is it took a while for that weight to come on, so it will probably even take twice as long to take it off."
